We are part of Westlake Royal Building Products, a company that offers a range of siding and accessories. At our Elkland, PA location, we use a plastic injection process to mold exterior siding accessories (shutters, mounts, gable vents, etc.). Informational Interview

Description: Students will need safety shoes for floor access. All students must have a prepared list of question for subject matter expert. We can offer a brief tour and 30 minute informational session with the professional in their field of interest.

Mock Interview

Description: Students will need safety shoes for floor access. Students who complete a mock interview will receive a documented applicant evaluation. Evaluation will range from professionalism to educational background to interest and engagement of the facility.

Guest Speaker

Description: Offered onsite or at that school. Guest speaker content is structured to meet students needs. Planning required prior to event.

Industry Tour

Description: Interactive tour often includes maintenance, tool and die, production, assembly and warehouse of plastic goods manufacture facility. Introductions before the tour will be a history of the company and opening remarks from a member of leadership.

Teacher in the Workplace

Description: Open discussions between manufacturing and educators to determine hiring and recruiting challenges. Identifies critical skills and trades needed in the modern day workplace. Identify paths to achieve learning skills.

Pre-Apprenticeship

Description: Westlake is actively involved in pre-apprenticeships focused on the above mentioned departments by partnering with local high schools and universities to ensure students receive both theoretical and practical instructions for a trade in the plastics industry.
