Woodland Biomass Innovations

Woodland Biomass Innovations (Woodland BIO) is a Pennsylvania-based company that turns low-grade woody biomass—such as wood chips and logging residues—into sustainable, drop-in gasoline, biochar, and renewable electricity. Our process provides a local, environmentally friendly alternative to fossil fuels, supports healthy forest management, and creates well-paying jobs in rural communities. Our pilot facility in Wellsboro, PA, will process around 1,000 tons of woody biomass per day, and produce up to 42,000 gallons of gasoline daily. We seek individuals who are passionate about sustainability, open to learning, and eager to work in a team setting. Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and a commitment to environmental stewardship are key qualities for success at Woodland BIO.

MISSION/VISION

Woodland BIO’s vision is to develop waste-to-fuel processes that power a circular future, starting with the inaugural woody biomass-to-gasoline facility in Tioga County, PA. The process is born from the idea that smart business and environmentalism are two sides of the same coin: creating efficient circular systems will benefit profitability and the environment at the same time.
