DESCRIPTION

Students participating in a job shadow at the River Valley Regional YMCA will spend time alongside YMCA staff to observe a typical workday in a mission-driven, community-focused organization. Students may shadow professionals in areas such as fitness and wellness, childcare and youth development, aquatics, facilities operations, or administrative support. During the experience, students will learn about daily responsibilities, workplace expectations, customer service skills, and the training or certifications required for different roles. Students will also have the opportunity to ask questions, gain insight into career pathways, and better understand how teamwork and leadership contribute to the YMCA’s impact on the community.
